To enhance the government’s credibility, the Minister of Information, Communications, and Technology (ICT), Savannah Maziya, launched the government’s new Corporate Identity Manual and the revamped government Email System.

Speaking at the Happy Valley Hotel, the Minister noted that the launch reflected how the government intends to present itself to the citizens of Eswatini and the world.

“The Government Corporate Identity Manual is not just a document; it is a comprehensive blueprint for our visual and communicative identity. It embodies our commitment to professionalism, integrity, and transparency. This manual will guide every logo, color palette, typeface, and document format we use, ensuring that all government correspondence is consistent and reflects our core values while preserving our rich cultural heritage.”

Maziya added that in a world where perception can significantly impact trust, the manual serves as a tool to enhance the government’s credibility.

“Consistency in our projected identity enriches reliability and fosters trust. As we adopt these set standards across all government departments, we are reinforcing our commitment to serving the people of Eswatini with transparency and excellence,” she stated.

“As we implement this manual, I urge every ministry and department to fully embrace it. Let it be a symbol of our unity and our shared mission to serve the people of Eswatini. By committing to its authority, we will present a unified front that reflects the integrity and values of our government,” she added.

Alongside the new corporate identity, Maziya explained that the Ministry is also proud to introduce the revamped government email system which replaces the old system that government officials previously used but found inadequate.

“The old system was very unreliable, prompting officials to opt for Gmail and similar services—frankly unacceptable for any self-respecting official entity such as the government of Eswatini.”

“In today’s digital age, where cyber threats are ever-present and increasingly sophisticated, the security of our communications is of paramount importance. This revamped email system is not just a technical upgrade; it is a robust solution designed to safeguard our communications, ensuring that our data remains confidential and protected from external threats,” she added.

Maziya noted that the new email system represents a monumental leap forward in the government’s continuous efforts to modernize electronic communication, ensuring the highest standards of security and efficiency.

“As we embrace this new system, I urge every government official to fully utilize and integrate it into their daily operations. Let it be a tool that enhances your work, strengthens our communications, and reflects our commitment to serving the people of Eswatini with excellence. By adhering to the highest standards of security and professionalism, we will protect our data and uphold the trust that our citizens have placed in us,” she said.

Maziya extended her gratitude to the Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP) and the Eswatini Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC) for their invaluable contributions to the successful implementation of the new email system.

“Your expertise and dedication have been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition. Special gratitude also goes to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport’s Central Transport Administration (CTA) for their contribution to facilitating the branding of our vehicles, and accolades go to the Eswatini Television Authority (ESTVA), who helped put together the promotional material showcasing the reason we are here. The success of the launch is owed to them,” she said.

Maziya concluded by quoting the late Nelson Mandela: “In closing, I leave you with the words of Nelson Mandela: ‘It always seems impossible until it’s done.’ Today, we prove that through collaboration and commitment, we can achieve the seemingly impossible and transform the way we govern for the betterment of our people and our future. Sitsi Nkwe!”
